How to I save music from a Portable Device onto my Xbox 360 Hard Drive?

I saved all of my music onto a USB portable hard drive, and connected to my Xbox 360 (250GB). It's letting me play this music, but I was wondering if it was at all possible to actually save it to my Xbox Hard Drive so I can create playlists etc.? Thanks (:

Not possible.

If you want to put music on your hard drive, you have to rip it from an audio CD.

Can you use a portable hard drive on the xbox 360 as memory?

I am out of memory and I have a 400GB portable hard drive that I would love to use. Is it possible to use it on the xbox 360?

unfortunately it is not able to be used. The only option you really have regarding a portable is to play music or pics from it. Can store to it. Sorry :(
