What is the best 2TB portable external hard drive?

- it is for mac os x
- it has to be portable (I'm not looking for desktop)
- comes with an warranty
- the smallest the better not looking for bulky type
- I'm willing to pay little bit more money for a good external hard drive

I'm looking for a 500GB external hard drive pretty much just to back up all my pictures and videos. I'm looking for something durable, lightweight, inexpensive, preferably not have to download any software....AND one that I can use for my computer and then turn around and use it to back up my husbands computer. :D
OH, and I only have a USB 2.0, not a USB 3.0
