where can i find portable hard drives?

and that can hold a lot of documents?

i don't need it for music or any thing i just need it for like my poems and stories i write

Wal-mart sells them. If you don't plan on putting media on it at all, just files, you could buy a 1 or 2 GB flash drive for 5 to 10 dollars. Really any store that has an electronic department will sell them. Also, newegg.com sells them for really good prices. SanDisk and Kingston are some really good brands that i can think of.

Q. Im looking for a good hard drive. One that will keep all my information & have no problem connecting to another computer. I would really dislike buying a portable hard drive , storing my information on it than plug it into a different computer & it not finding it. This hard drive is headed to afghanistan so keep in mind returning isnt an option. Thank you.

I'd have to agree with Western Digital.

No drive maker is perfect, but all my WD drives still work from like 10-15 years ago.
