What do you think is better PS3 OR 360?

Q. DO YOU THINK THAT THE PS3 WILL BE BETTER THAT THE XBOX 360

Answer
good question!
Yeah! I do think PS3 will be better than the xbox 360
in this way!

1. Hardware and Grafix:The PlayStation 3 version of the Cross Media Bar (Xross Media Bar, or XMB) includes 8 categories of options. These include: Users, Settings, Photo, music, Video, Game, Network and Friends. The PS3 includes the ability to store different user profiles, explore photos, play music and movies from the hard drive, compatibility for a USB Keyboard and Mouse, a full Internet browser and a Friends menu. Also, the PlayStation 3 adds the ability to multitask in ways such as listening to music while surfing the web or looking at pictures.[57] The PlayStation 3 XMB supports a variety of file formats (audio, image, video). Because PlayStation 3 is capable of running Linux, other formats can be played through the operating system, assuming the correct codec is present. In a separate demo Sony presented the "Marketplace" where users can buy and download music. The PS3 reserves 64 MB of RAM at all times for XMB functions
.
2.psp connectivity:The PlayStation Portable can connect with the PlayStation 3 in many ways, including game connectivity, such as Formula One 06 shown at E3 2006 which uses the PSP as a rear-view mirror. Sony also will allow the PlayStation 3 to send PlayStation 1 games to the PSP that will be able to be used on the PSP's PlayStation 1 Emulator, which will be released alongside the PS3.
Sony has also demonstrated the PSP playing back video content, including 1080p content from the PlayStation 3 hard disk across an Ad-Hoc wireless network. This feature is referred to as Remote Play.

3. internet:Sony has considered using IPv6, the next generation of the Internet Protocol.

4.hdtv:The PS3 supports standard and HDTV resolutions (up to 1080p) and connectivity options (such as HDMI 1.3 and component video). In terms of audio, the PS3 supports a number of formats, including 7.1 digital audio, Dolby TrueHD, and others. For the optical drive, a wide variety of DVD and CD formats are supported, as well as Blu-ray Discs. A 20 GB / 60 GB 2.5" SATA 150 hard disk is pre-installed. In the 60 GB configuration, flash memory can also be used â either Memory Stick, CompactFlash, or SD/MMC. For communication, the PS3 has one Gigabit Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, and supports Bluetooth 2.0 EDR.

5.Sixaxis:The PS3 SIXAXIS is a controller that is nearly identical to that of the predecessor's DualShock. The SIXAXIS features finer analog sensitivity; more trigger-like R2 and L2 buttons; a PS (âhomeâ) button; and a USB mini-B port for charging the internal battery and for wired play. The PlayStation 3 supports up to 7 simultaneous controllers over Bluetooth. The SIXAXIS is named for its ability to detect motion in the full six degrees. However, unlike the previous DualShock, the new controller has no vibration feature.
the main advantage:
yeah! it is BD ROM[blue ray disk]

1.The main advantage of BD is its maximum data transfer rate is 54.4 mb/s while hd dvds is 36.55 mb/s
2.its playback time is 23.3 hrs just double of the HD DVD
3.and finally it supports java, that hd dvd cannot do

So, the overall winner is PS3.

what's better ps3 or xbox 360?

DeathAngel

some people tell me to get the ps3 and then others say the 360 someone explain what systems better and y it is better thanks

Answer
Both systems are great. I personally lean more towards the PS3, but that is only because of MGS4...so that is kind of a moot point. Here are a few pros and cons of both systems.

XBOX 360:

--Pros--
Larger selection of games than PS3, more exclusive downloadable content on XBOX live, backwards compatibility with some XBOX games

--Cons--
have to pay for online service (arguable...xbox live has a HUGE library of DLC), memory from HDD is nontransferable, HDD size limited by what Microsoft releases for the 360, HD (only as a con since HD is mostly dead due to Blu-Ray winning out in the race of High Def. technology)

PS3:

--Pros-- Transferable memory (can use a portable usb hard/flash drive.) Upgradeable HDD (any 2.5" HDD can be used in the PS3. My friend has a 320 GB HDD in his), Blu-Ray, full backwards compatibility (NOTE* this is only in certain older models of the PS3.) Free online gaming

--Cons-- Smaller selection of games, waaaay smaller selection of downloadable content for games, PS3 Slim has NO BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY (with the exception of downloading PSone games...but we're really splitting hairs here.)

If you want to have a wide variety of games, don't mind paying for online gaming, and dont really intend to load down your console with other media (music, pics, etc..) go with the 360.
If you want free online gaming and want to use a console as a library for your music, pictures, and videos, go with the PS3.

Does xbox 360 have blu-ray?

iamadancin

I want to know whether i should get a 360 or a ps3

Answer
ps3! the 360 has hddvd and toshiba has officially closed production of everything hd dvd(with a loss of over 10 billion yen). that means that if u have a 360 and want to look at hd movies, you will only be able to view the movies that are already out. No more new movies will be comming out on hddvd.

Fit the 20gb hardrive to an xbox 360 arcade?

portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility on WD (Western Digital) launches the My Passport AV portable media drive ...
portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility image

James F

Right ok, first off my xbox pro is fried and i need to get a new one. I have all the stuff that came with the pro so im looking at just price and memory.
Can i take my xbox 360 pro 20gb hard drive and fit it onto the arcade xbox or is the memory thing on the arcade just like a portable thing and does it not have compatibility for hard drives
Sorry if this is confusing hopefully someone will understand
what is the memory format. is it like one of those portable momory drives for the xbox or is it a proper hard drive

Answer
Okay, if your looking to buy an Xbox 360 Arcade now, then it should come with an internal 256MB unit which is good for saves and whatnot. But this will not stop you from using your 20GB hard drive on the Arcade as it will still have a slot you can fit it in at the top.

And no, the internal memory for the arcade is not portable now, although it used to be on previous editions but now it is internal.

You say your Xbox 360 Pro failed? well the new arcade has minor upgrades which should lessen your chances of another 360 failure.

Hope this helps.

Xbox 360 hard drive compatibility?

portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility on Sony VMCUAM1 USB Adapter Cable
portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility image

Skeve613

My Xbox 360 I bought in 2007 recently got the Red Ring of Death among other problems, and I am considering buying a new console to replace it. However, I've heard that the older hard drives are not compatible with newer consoles, and my 12 gig hard drive does not work with my friend's 360. Is this true for all the newer consoles, and if so, how else can I transfer my data? Do portable memory units work, or will that raise complications?

Answer
all the xbox 360 hard drives work with all of the xbox 360s, my brother runs a game-stop and a lot of people have this confusion, I works don't worry.

Should I get the PS 3 or the Xbox 360?

portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility on PC Game For Motogp 08 Full Serial With Crack | Free Download Update ...
portable hard drive xbox 360 compatibility image

Chip

give me reasons please!

Answer
1st of all, i would like you to check the xbox section and see how much questions are being asked about some broken 360. out of the 3 nex gen. consoles, 16% of all 360 made has some fault, 5% for wii, and 3% for the ps3. if you dont belive me check yahoo news. (get a ps3)

a 360 may be chepper, but that cheapness makes it a peice of crap. most of the stuff that u need comes seperate, it stills support hddvd, no blu ray(rip hddvd). if you want a decent 360, you will have to dress it up like frankenstein.

and i wonder why people reffer to the ps3s as supercomputers and the 360 as crap? because it is!
check yahoo news

the ps3 has rumble and motion sensing controls(360 dosn't)
it games games are on blu ray(50gb) compared to the 360's dvd(7gb). this allows it to store more content, and they are working on a 260gb blu ray disk. that is more than my hard drive!! the ps3 1st gne games has the same graphics as the 360's 2nd generation games. what are the ps3's 2nd gneration games going to look like? :)

The playstation network is growing by the second, unlike the stagnant xbox live. plus it is free.

in the world economy, the ps3 sales have passed the 360s, and the 360 was out a year earlier.

i could give you a lot more reasons why the ps3 is better than the 360 but that's too much typing

Wii, ps3, Xbox 360?

Q. How much is a Wii, ps3, Xbox 360 and where is the cheapest place I can get one of them.
