my laptop only has 2g of menery and i wont to run programs from a external portable hard drive can this be done?????
All cs4 i wont to install master colection ?? and run from portable hard drive

It would be better if you had it installed locally as you are going to be limited by your USB bus speed.
Do you mean 2GB of memory or 2GB of harddrive space on yoru laptop? 2GB of memory will be fine, it would help with more but you can stull run those programs on 2GB.

Is it advisable to use Portable Hard Drive for our company server? and can it be done?
It's a small business and we use a business management software for our operations (accounting, billing, operation, and etc). Question is, can I use an external portable hard drive for the server?
I understand normally there are hard drives specifically for server that is designed to operate 24/7, but sometimes we need to take it out.

Yes, but your RAID software needs to be able to find it if you want to mirror it.
The only reason to use a portable drive is if you need to transport data, not store it.
You can usb a USB flash memory stick to do that.
Not worth losing data from one drive only regardless if it is portable or not.
