Whats a good portable external hard drive?

I want to get a portable external hardrive for my laptop, but i dont know anything about them so please help me out. All answers are appreciated.

I like my new Iomega 500MB. You should be able to get one for about $120. You do have to plug it in to an external power source though.

I am looking for a good and portable external hard drive. I like something affordable and as stated can travel with me everywhere? I had a LACIE but it got destroyed. So something like palm side. Maybe a 500MB or something like that. A external which would last me a couple of years like my LACIE did.

I think you mean 500GB and to be honest all of the hard drives on the market are good so get one that is the cheapest.

But as a fan of Western Digital I'd have a look for one of those but that is just personal preference.
