I got a windows vista and i bought a new external hard drive WD 250 GB and when i tried to copy from hard drive to external hard drive, I really dont know the way its getting copied. I installed the external hard drive software successfully. I like to know the easy steps of copying the file. Thanks in advance.
Answer
Plug in the hard drive in a USB port. Go to Windows Explorer. You will see the new drive. It'll be something other than A,B,C or D. Then find Document and Settings/{Owner}/My Documents and copy the whole folder over.

Western Digital My Passport Essential 500GB Portable Hard Drive?
Bubba Chil
I am planning on buying the Western Digital My Passport Essential 500GB Portable Hard Drive, but am confused about somethings. I want to know if you can just plug it in and begin to drag and drop stuff from my laptop on to this external hard drive. I have seen that you can, but some people say you have to do something about WD Smartware. Any ideas?
Answer
I have wd also. Just plug it in and begin to drag and drop. There's nothing else to do.
