Origin of Ipod: The iPod is a line of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The first line was released on November 10, 2001; its most recent redesigns were announced on September 12, 2012. There are four current generations of the iPod: the ultra-compact iPod shuffle, the compact iPod nano, the touchscreen iPod touch, and the hard drive-based iPod classic. Like other digital music players, iPods can serve as external data storage devices. Storage capacity varies by model, ranging from 2 GB for the iPod shuffle to 160 GB for the iPod classic. The devices are controlled by the Samsung ARM and the Apple A4 CPUs.

Sony External Hard Drive help!?
H. Al-hube
Today, I bought brand new metal rose pink 1TB Sony External Hard Drive (HD-E1), I connected it to USB drive to add some files, but when my AVG Internet Security 2012 and Microsoft Security Essentials 2012 scanned it automatically, both program showed that there is dangerous threats and "Password Protection Managere Setup" program (that's inside the drive) is infected by unknown virus Win32/DH{DAMANQ}.
I was shocked and quickly searched through the internet about this issue and looked for solution, but never found about infected brand new hard drive. on the back of the drive, there are Korean and Chinese Characters (Kanji) and it is also written "Made in Philippines", I never heard of fake Hard Drive, is it not Genuine?? or defected item?
PLEASE HELP!!!
I know that PC processor cannot handle two antivirus, installing two antivirus in in one system crashes the PC&laptops.
"Microsoft Security Essentials 2012" is one of the small program that included with "Windows Update", is it like "Windows Firewall" that comes installed in all the brand new PCs&laptops.
Answer
most likely it's a false positive, meaning you antivirus's heuristic algorithms find the program suspicious so it's flagging it as a virus when infact it may be safe. I wouldnt worry about it, just add to your antivirus except list.
or
if you are paranoid like me, create a new partition table, create a new partition, format the partition (non-quick). All data on the drive will be erased, including this flagged software.
Step 1:
Download Parted Magic (a portable linux Operating System), burn the iso file to a blank cd or dvd
Step 2:
Boot Parted Magic and open Gparted (Your computer must be set to boot from DVD/CD drive)
Step 3:
Select your external drive (assuming it shows up, parted magic may not support your drive)
Step 4:
Create new partition table (MSdos, selected by default), Create new primary Partition (NTFS)
Step 5:
Boot into your normal Operating sytem (window i'm assuming)
Step 6:
Go to "Computer" or in xp "My Computer" and right click on your external drive, choose format
use NTSF and disable the quick-format check box. This will take a long time.
Your drive has a new parition table, and has had all paritions (including hidden) erased and a new partition made, plus all old data wiped to prevent recovery using third party tools.
