Is there any place that rents portable hard drives?

Im looking for a Lacie external hard drive I only have to use it once but I would hate to have to buy one, is there any place in the LA area that rents them?

Should I get a new Mac or another hard drive?

I've had my Macbook for about three years now. I use it mostly for iMovie and the mov flies take up a lot of space so I've been putting them on a portable hard-drive. Last week my portable hard-drive crashed so I got a new one and now the new one is having problems! I can't put the mov flies on my mac cuz if I do, i won't have any space. What do I do? Should I get another hard drive or a new mac?

Get a good quality external hard drive - far cheaper than buying a new mac.
I've had a Lacie 2TB external drive for my movies for about 3 years now, not a problem.
I also have another external drive that I just use for backups and not in use continually.
Make sure that it connects with Firewire and not just USB.
