...PC. I am very meticulous about putting programs or program files on my internal hard drive. I want everything single thing that I download to be on the external hard drive. For example, I just put itunes on the drive, and still find it under my c drive and in add/remove programs. I only want it to show up on my WD external hard drive.

if you get a box saying run save as and cancel then click save and navigate to the place you wish to save it. If you do not right click and click save target as and navigate to the place you want it. Good luck.

I've been looking at some 320 gb external hard drives for my extensive photo files and as a back up for my documents. I have a Mac Pro laptop, and a PC desk top and need to share the portable hd files between them. Is that possible?
