I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and I am wondering how (if possible) to access movies from a portable external hard drive. I have a WD external hard drive and want to put cartoons on it for my daughter for when we travel so I dont have to have internet access to watch cartoons. How do I do that to where I can watch them on my tab using the hard drive?

Does anyone know how to get your external hard drive to be compatible with the PS3?

I have a USB external hard drive with mp3s and jpegs and I cant get it to work with my PS3 USB port.

Follow these steps exactly,

At Step 2, it talks about NTFS. If your drive is NTFS, you will probably want to copy all of your songs and pictures to your PC before deleting the partition. That will erase everything.
If your drive is already FAT32, skip to Step 7. You just need to add the appropriate folders to make the PS3 automatically add them to the XMB. If you don't have those folders, they won't show up but you should still be able to hit triangle and 'select all' to see the files.
