What is the best portable external hard drive?

I am looking for a portable external hard drive that is between 500GB and 1TB (depends on the price). I plan on storing pictures and music along with some document and possibly back up my laptop as well. I want to know what are the best brands and models for what I need. I think I have narrowed it down to Seagate and Western Digital.

i have been using portable drives for quite a few years and have a few of them all western digital the best one i would say would be

it has a 3.0 USB which is a lot faster and its a good price for 1 TB

Please Help! 456 GB Hard Drive?

I only have 129 GB left. I have loaded a lot of movies from my dvds to my computer is there anyway to burn them on a disk to save them to free up space on my computer? What do I need to do. I know a little bit about computers but if someone could guide me I would very much appreciate it.

Get a Portable Hard Drive, I got a freecom one off amazon which is 500GB for about £70, but you can get up to and over a TB of memory
