Answer
I'd go with the cheapest one, unless having the larger screen is really important to you. I have a larger pro laptop and it's heavy. Spending $1000 more for a screen that is only a bit larger seems too costly. As the the difference in hard drive size, you can buy a portable terabyte external drive for about $100 and can use it for backups or extra storage as needed.

Which Laptop is better?

I want a laptop for University and general use (main computer), I would also like something that will be long lasting, so based on experience (not just specs) please tell me which laptop is better in your opinion. I am not a huge gamer, but I might put some arcade games on there and maybe some older grand theft auto games. I have worked with both mac's and pc's for years and I am comfortable with both. I want a powerful laptop that can be a desktop replacement but be portable for college. Please judge based on the provided specifications/ configurations since I have customized the laptops

Answer
Both are quality laptops but, I would suggest you to go for Hp dv6-t becauseâ¦
>It has a better graphics card & is too good for the price.
>More RAM i.e. 8 GB
>Size of hard drive is double of the Macbook
>High resolution 1920 x 1080
>Other specs like weight, optical drive, webcam, wifi, bluetooth, USB 3.0 ports, etc. are pretty much standard.

If you ask me about their durability, my vote goes to Macbook first. But if we look up the price dv6-t is offering a good deal because all these features with blue ray, 1080p display would cost you around $1200.
