I want to transfer files from my PC to my ps3 wireless because it gets tiring transferring files back and fourth using a portable hard drive..could anybody please tell me how I could transfer them from my PC to my ps3 but without usb cables..like I would like to transfer them using the internet.

Answer
put your PC to share media in Windows Media Player..... they must be connected under the same wireless router.. Enable your ps3 to search for Shared media PC. YOur computer must grant access to this "unidentified device", grant it. and you will be able to transfer music photos and videos.... But I strongly prefer transfering using USb's its much much faster and you dont have to worry of your internet's speed or signal strength

i got a WD 1TB portable hard drive and i can't view it on my ps3 ?

i got a WD my passport essential se 1TB, portable hard drive.my probable is that i connected it to my ps3 but nothing shows ups. it works fine when i connect it to my laptop. I also got another WD my passport 500g and that works fine on both. what can i do to fix it for i can be able to view it on my ps3.

Answer
Format it as FAT32. If it's not formatted as FAT32, then the PS3 won't read it. Also be sure it's USB 2.0 (NOT 3.0) as the PS3 can only properly read USB 2.0 devices, not 3.0 even if it's 2.0 compliant.

A great tool for FAT32 formatting is Fat32Formatter. Just download, unzip and run, no installation required.
