Answer
Very easy. Connect the drive to a usb port on your computer and copy paste all your important files from your computer to the external hard drive. If I go in more detail then you will have to open or explore your external hard drive and once the target window is open, go to your files or folder on the source drive and copy all your content by selecting it. Then go to your target drive and paste it. These are really basic instructions. You can google step by step instructions for more help.
Thanks.

what is the best flash drive size for my computers to use for backup?

What is the best flash drive memory to use for backup.

my desktop is a 1GB and my laptop is a 3GB
I'm sorry I should have included the storage. I believe my desktop is 250 and my laptop is 300.

Answer
You should have at least a 250GB Portable Hard Drive to use for computer back up. You can get one at Best Buy or Target or Walmart for under 120 dollars.

I notice you said 1GB and 2GB that must be DDR2 Memory. Memory just increases the speed of your processor. Memory can be expensive. I Don't see why your laptop will need a Memory increase it's already pretty high.
