hello!

im looking to buy an external hard drive and i found a 3TB My book.
what is the difference between a Western Digital 'My Book',
and an Iomega External Hard Drive?
i currently have an iomega 1tb hard drive and its full, im looking to buy another.

Thanks.

Answer
Nothing, they are both external hard drives, My Book is only the name Western Digital gives their hard drives, and it comes with some management software for the drive.

However, they both can be used the same way.

Help for an issue with Toshiba External Hard Drive?

Karen

Hello, I have a 3TB Toshiba External Hard drive. We have been watching movies off of it using a WD TV box and recently the box has not been able to recognize the hard drive.
The USB drive on the box can however recognize other USB flash drives, and the external hard drive shows up and works like normal when I plug it into my lap top.
Any ideas? Things I could try?

I suggest you ask your question here: http://px1.us?3IC

In the meantime, have there been any recent WD TV upgrades? The WD does stand for Western Digital, a competitor of Toshiba in this regard: any chance they dropped support for Toshiba drives?
