I am ordering a Seagate Backup Plus 500GB Portable USB 3.0 External Hard Drive, (compatible with PC and Mac) from Staples. If I plug it into the USB input on my Xbox 360, (newest edition, 4GB) will I be able to select it as a storage device to save downloaded games to?

Answer
I know for sure that you can use a USB drive. You might as well try it out. There's nothing holding you back. Plug it in and see if it pops up when it asks you to pick which storage to get your saved games from.

Can i connect XBOX 360 4GB Console wit 320GB WD Portable HDD to use 16 GB for games and rest for Mp3,Videos?

I have brought XBOX 360 4GB console. I have a 320 GB Western Digital Elements 2.5" Portable Hard Drive. Will i be able to use this to extend 16 GB memory to store some games and remaining for for my personal Mp3 and videos for entertainment ?

Answer
Yes as long as it's compatible with the 360. It needs to be FAT 32 to play media on the console. You can partition it under the memory section when you choose to use it to store 360 content. Set aside 16GBs for use on there and the rest will be accessible on your computer to add media.
