Western Digital Hard Drive Not showing in windows 7?

Q. It's running as usual when connected, no weird sounds or anything unusual. Its a portable hd, and I have a non portable that pulls up fine, connected as well. Usually have both connected, no problems, but recently the portable won't show up in my computer or disk management... Have no idea what to do now...

Never buy WD cause it's cheap Seagate Barrucada is the most reliable.

ok I bought an Iomega ego 1tb portable hard drive off some guy. The problem is that I connect it and it doesn't show up any where on my laptop. I check my computer and even right click my computer and click on manage and go to storage then disk management and nothing is there. My laptop is running windows 7.

Connect the External portable hard disk to another computer and see whether it is working or not?
