I need one for my car and need around 30 items. You do not need to give 30 items though, just what you can think of would be great! Thanks!

Answer
1) Wool blanket (they stay warm even when wet)
2) Sand (not kitty litter) in a gallon jug or larger - to sand icy spots on road when your car is stuck
3) Tire Chains (that fit the car and you have tested them and know how to put them on)
4) Water (for drinking) - at least a gallon
5) Cups to drink out of (plastic is okay but metal will allow you to heat something up)
6) Matches (although a butane lighter will light more fires)
7) Extra socks - one pair of cotton (terry, thick) and one pair of wool (85-100% is best, knee high)
8) Extra set of winter boots (like hiking boots, waterproofed)(you could be wearing office shoes when you get stranded)
9) Wool gloves and wool stocking cap (you can find them at an army/navy surplus store)
10) First aid kit
11) Fire starter kit (fire starter flint, kindling)
12) Sunglasses (if it's been snowing, the glare can just about blind you)
13) Shovel (to dig your car out of a snow drift or bank if you go off the road)
14) Bow saw (seriously) for cutting your way through small downed trees blocking the road
15) Extra set of prescription medications (for a day or two)(keep these in a styrofoam container to keep them from freezing. An insulated lunch box or styrofoam "bait box" is about the right size; they'll also endure the heat when kept in your car trunk - I tested it in 110 degree weather)
16) Chapstick (keep it in that insulated box)
17) Whistle (to attract the attention of rescuers)
18) Signal mirror
19) Battery operated radio/flashlight/signal light
20) Knife/fork/spoon set
21) Can opener
22) Swiss army knife equivalent (some have stronger blades)
23) Dry food (like saltines, graham crackers, peanut butter crackers, granola, trail mix)
24) Snack foods (hard candy)
25) High protein canned food you don't have to cook (like tuna, sardines) or jarred peanut butter
26) An extra coat (preferably a heavy winter coat) you can keep in your car trunk all the time (a down coat is excellent)
27) An extra set of clothes - preferably jeans, tee shirt, belt, underwear, overshirt like flannel that will keep you warm and you can dress in layers)
28) Cellphone (charged, activated, loaded with important phone numbers of relatives, AAA road service, etc.)
29) A hand-held GPS device (well, this could be an extravagant item, but if you're planning on wandering around in the woods, it's a must)
30) Sunblock (for that sun glare)
31) baseball cap (to block the sun from your eyes)
32) Pencil & paper (for leaving notes so if someone finds your car and you're not in it, they will know which direction you headed and when)(not a pen - they freeze or dry up)
33) A portable tent (you can keep it in your car trunk)(I keep one in mine year round)
34) A book to keep you entertained while you're stranded - like How to Survive in the Wilderness, or the Bible (yes, prayer does work)
35) hatchet (to drive in stakes for that tent, or cut firewood)
36) waterproof tarp
37) pillow
38) duck tape (fixes just about anything)
39) bailing wire (or equivalent)
40) rope and/or strong nylon twine/string (great for anchoring a tent against the wind or making a lean-to shelter or an awning for your car)
41) Instruction manual for how to use all that stuff in your survival kit, and what to do when you get stranded
41) practice starting campfires, setting up tents, making emergency shelter out of whatever's available, knowledge on how to recognize and treat frostbite and hypothermia, how to read a compas and maps (orienteering)
42) topographic maps or at least highway maps for the area you are traveling in or through
43) compass

Is there a portable hard drive compatible with the Kindle Fire?

Answer
Hello,

Para is not informed.

Seagate makes a portable drive called Goflex Satellite that works with Android Tablets, iPads, iPhones and Android phones. The drive holds up to 500gb and can be shared thru Wi-Fi with up to 3 devices at one time. It also has a USB 3 port to transfer your data when you are at your computer. Here is a link to a review of the drive.
