Who makes a good portable hard drive for a computer?

I recently had rain checked a "Western Digital 120gb 2.5" Passport Portable" hard drive from Best Buy. I got on the internet and read some user reviews and found them to be quite horrible though. I want one that can handle both laptops and desktops and that will last for a long time and is quite durable. I do not have a lot of knowledge on portable HDD's Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

I have found that the big names work best, ie. Seagate, Western Digital etc. However, if you are looking for a good deal and a site that generally has reviews by mostly informed consumers, try buy.com. Here is a link to some results that you may find to optimal:

how do i save my dvd movies to my portable hard drive?

I just bought a portable hard drive and i want to save all my purchased dvds on it. How do I do that.

actually from what I have been told you can burn a movie to a hard drive as long as you own the movie and you won't be distributing it in anyway. Also to put something on a harddrive doesnt take a few hours unless the file is enourmous a movie would prob. take an hour or less depending on software
