I accidentally deleted a file from my external hard drive and that was the only place I had this file. Can I do a system restore this hard drive too or is it a computer hard drive option only?

you're trying to get a deleted file from external drive, but no OS installed. I do not think you can retrieve a deleted file using system recovery.

what you can do, there are free file recovery softwares which you can download and run. good for you that it is external harddrive, just plug it to you PC and run the software.

Would there be any problem if I moved my iTunes folder to an external hard drive?

My iTunes folder is getting too big for my laptop's internal hard drive, so I bought an external hard drive (a WD My Book Elite - 1 TB). I'm thinking of going into My Computer and moving (NOT copying) my iTunes folder to the external hard drive. Will my iTunes still work that way? I don't want to lose my music.

It explains how you can use iTunes to copy the files so you will have the correct library locations. Once you have copied them correctly you can delete them from your laptop.
