Hard Drive buying help!?

I've got a 100$ gift card, and want to be able to get more space on my computer and a new game. I was originally looking for a portable hard drive, but this one doesn't say if it is portable. And it really doesn't matter, as long as I just plug it in, install some stuff, and I get more space.

Tell me if it's a good buy, and how it will work.

For a gift card its perfect...."Includes USB cable, AC adapter and quick-start guide" Means plug in the wall and usb port and voila! Yes it isn't internal so you can take it anywhere.

Portable Hard Drive: Transcend Store Jet 320GB?

Hey all, I just bought this Portable Hard Drive but I think its kinda hard to understand. I wanted my files to copy in this hard drive and i used copy and past method but i think it is not correct for this hard drive. What i mean is, Inside this Harddrive (Inside my Removable F) there is a soft called StoreJet. And its supposed to be used to transfer files from computer to harddrive but i can't function it properly which is too hard for me to understand O_O. Anyway, I just wanted to transfer my 4GB files, but it took whole 12min..I thought this PHDs are so fast to transfer files but it isnt. Am i doing it wrong? or is it just freaking slow??
(In its quick start guide it says that it transfers 60MB per sec O_O)

It may just be the hard drive it self. I would suggest getting one of the western digital ones, they transfer a lot quicker.
