I am trying to save my itunes onto an external hard drive so I can transfer the file from my mac to my pc. Whenever I try to drag the itunes file onto the external hard drive it says "The item 'iTunes' could not be modified because 'Seagate Replica' cannot be modified."
please help!

How do I fix my iTunes after it was transferred onto an external hard drive?

I transferred all of my songs to my external hard drive. Then I unplugged it for a few days and now it "can't find" my songs so I have to go through and individually locate them. There must be a faster way. Help!

DoINeedANickname, iTunes can not locate your music because you changed its location from its default folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My documents\My music\iTunes\iTunes Music) to your external HD. You have to open iTunes, click Edit > Preferences > Advanced. In Advanced there is a tab: "General" where it reads "iTunes music folder location", click the "Change" button and a new window will let you browse to select your external HD and the folder in there where you have your music.
From now on you'll have to turn on your external before opening iTunes.

After you set your external as your default folder consolidate your library and try again, to consolidate open iTunes, click Advanced and then Consolidate Library.
