External portable hard drive?

I am working between two differ computers . One at home & one at work, I need the same files on both computers. I need to share Microsoft Office & my pictures between the two. I need to work on the same images & documents at home & work. Would an eternal portable hard drive work for me? It would be so convent to just keep the pics & documents on something else like the portable hard drive, but I am clueless. Thanks for any help.

hey mimi that would work if you want you can just load them off the harddrive that way.

as an alternative amazon.com has 5gigs of free cloudspace - meaning you can upload whatever files/documents you want online and have access to them anywhere.

i would personally prefer a portable hard drive/usb thumb drive for privacy reasons/not wanting my stuff on the net. :)

Furthermore if your work doesnt have microsoft office there is a free program set called "OpenOffice" that you can download and its the same as m$ office just FREE.
